Overnight Oats

A delicious, quick and nutritious breakfast to grab and go when you need it in a hurry. Pre made the night before, this makes for an easy morning and it's a great one to get the kids involved with.

Ingredients

  • 40-50 grams porridge oats
  • 140-150 ml plant based milk I use Almond, Oat or Coconut
  • 1 tsp chia seeds
  • 1 tsp cacao powder or other superfood
  • 1 pinch ground cinnamon
  • 1 tsp peanut butter or other nut butter
  • 2-3 Tbsp Frozen blueberries or raspberries
  • 1 tsp agave nectar or maple syrup

Instructions

  1. Tip the oats into your jar, depending on the size this should fill the jar to about half to a third way full, leaving room for the topping.

  2. Next, stir the chia seeds, cacao powder and cinnamon into the oats.

  3. Pour the plant based milk into the oats and give it a good mix. (The milk should cover the oats by about half an inch or so, leaving room for the oats to expand over night.)

  4. Spoon in the peanut butter, top with your frozen berries and then drizzle a small amount of agave nectar on top. 

  5. Cover and pop in the fridge to work it's magic overnight, then enjoy your efforts in the morning!
