Our Wedding

Danny and I got married on the 14th August 2021 and although it was a long and sometimes stressful wait due to the pandemic, it was an absolute dream of a day and couldn’t have been more perfect. We put so much thought into our wedding, especially when it was postponed a year because of covid and we had extra time to plan! We wanted our wedding to be as vegan and eco friendly as possible, this was one of our aims from the get go and I thought it may be helpful to anyone planning a similar wedding if I made a blog about our special day.

The views above the rice terraces were breathtaking. It almost didn’t look real and we were convinced we were witnessing a whole new shade of green! It really was dream-like. Shortly after we’d entered the terraces and climbed/stumbled down into the valley we were about to cross this very cute little wooden bridge to make our decent upwards to explore further…

Welcome To 'The Casual Vegan'

Whatever your dietary requirement I’m sure you will find something here you like. I will share with you delicious Vegan recipes, travel blogs about places to eat around the world and tips on casually turning Vegan. My recipes are generally easy to make, healthy, cheap and most importantly delicious! Due to a slight soy allergy I tend to avoid tofu and soy options but that really doesn’t hold me back much at all. There will be the occasional bit of “Vegan junk food” thrown in I’m sure, because we all deserve to treat ourselves to a bit of naughtiness every now and then. I’m no trained chef, I’ve just always been really passionate about food and cooking. The kitchen is my happy place. I want this sight to help people choose healthier options, embrace plant based meals and to get creative in their kitchen. Feed your soul!
