Fruity Beauty Bowl

If I find myself in need of a little boost and want to get loads of fruit down me in one go, I turn to a smoothie bowl. It’s so quick to put together and you can be creative on the toppings. Carefully selecting and decorating your food (only the best for you and your tum) – is a great way to practice 5 minutes of mindfulness!

This is the perfect breakfast for a sunny morning and best enjoyed in the garden in your pyjamas. You can use any fruit you like for the topping, I like to use slices of banana as they float nicely on top! Berries work well as do soft fruits like kiwi and dragon fruit. If you’re going for prettiness, use a variety of colours that contrast the purple of the smoothie.

A beautiful bowl of health to kick start your day in the right way.

Course Breakfast
Prep Time 5 minutes
Total Time 5 minutes
Servings 1 Bowl

  • 1 handful Spinach
  • 1 big handful Frozen Blueberries
  • 1 Frozen Banana
  • 1 tbsp Ground Flaxseed
  • 250 ml Almond Milk or any plant based milk
  • 1 tsp Pea Protein or Raw Cacao powder (optional)
  • 1 handful Fresh Fruit to decorate I used banana, raspberries and strawberries

Optional toppings

  • Hemp seeds
  • Flaked almonds
  • Chia seeds
  • Cacao nibs

  1. Pop the spinach into the blender followed by the frozen blueberries and banana.  Next throw in the flax seeds and protein powder/cacao powder if desired.

  2. Pour in your chosen milk and blend all the ingredients together for about a minute.  If it doesn't blend first time give it a minute for the banana to thaw slightly.  Alternatively add a splash more milk until you get your desired consistency.

  3. Once well blended, carefully pour your smoothie into a bowl.
  4. Get creative! Choose your favourite fruits, nuts, seeds or granola - whatever you fancy!
