Fruity Beauty Bowl
If I find myself in need of a little boost and want to get loads of fruit down me in one go, I turn to a smoothie bowl. It’s so quick to put together and you can be creative on the toppings. Carefully selecting and decorating your food (only the best for you and your tum) – is a great way to practice 5 minutes of mindfulness!
This is the perfect breakfast for a sunny morning and best enjoyed in the garden in your pyjamas. You can use any fruit you like for the topping, I like to use slices of banana as they float nicely on top! Berries work well as do soft fruits like kiwi and dragon fruit. If you’re going for prettiness, use a variety of colours that contrast the purple of the smoothie.

Optional toppings

Pop the spinach into the blender followed by the frozen blueberries and banana. Next throw in the flax seeds and protein powder/cacao powder if desired.

Pour in your chosen milk and blend all the ingredients together for about a minute. If it doesn't blend first time give it a minute for the banana to thaw slightly. Alternatively add a splash more milk until you get your desired consistency.
-
Once well blended, carefully pour your smoothie into a bowl.
-
Get creative! Choose your favourite fruits, nuts, seeds or granola - whatever you fancy!
