Homemade Vegan Green Pesto
Here is our easy, go-to recipe for green pesto. It’s so simple, but an absolutely delightful flavour, excellent to mix into a pasta dish or swirled into pastry or even under your cheese on toast. All you’ll need is a good blender. We use a nutribullet which is perfect.
Homemade Vegan Green Pesto
A real easy recipe for a delicious pine nut and basil pesto, made in minutes.
Prep Time 5 minutes
Ingredients
- 5 Tbsp olive oil
- 25 g+ fresh basil leaves works with this amount but pack in some more if you have it!
- 25 g pine nuts
- 20 g nutritional yeast
- ½ lemon, juiced
- 1 clove garlic
- 1 pinch salt and pepper
- 1 splash water as needed

Add all the ingredients to a high powered blender (something like a nutribullet works really well) and blitz to a paste. Add a splash of water to loosen it up as needed. Easy! Keep covered in the fridge for a week.
